Dayton Offers four schools consisting of two elementary schools, one intermediate school, and one high school. One of the finest communities in which to educate your children, Dayton schools offer small classes, a positive learning environment and most importantly, staffs that truly care.
Dayton High School is a small high school of approximately 600 students in grades 9-12. The Dustdevils' sports teams are always competitive in their division and community support is optimal. DHS offers classes ranging from journalism to calculus, from woodshop to advanced art. With an $80,000+ computer science lab and a school-to-careers program that is the idol to the area, Dayton is truly competitive both academically and in sports.
Located directly next to the high school, Dayton Intermediate School is another small school of around 700 students. The Sundevils have access to almost the same resources that the high school does, and that gives them an advantage over other schools in the area.
Just down the road from the other two schools there is Dayton Elementary School. "Success for every student" is emblazoned proudly across the top of the school, and that motto penetrates all aspects of this small, nurturing elementary school catering to grades kindergarten to fourth.
The newest school in the area is Sutro Elementary School, located just a few hundred yards from the exit of the famous Sutro Tunnel. Completed in 1998, this quaint school has already developed into one of the little tyke's favorites for the ample playground and friendly staff. A favorite among parents too, for its quality of education and caring adults.
